Insulation Degradation Analysis Due to Thermo-Mechanical Stress in Deep-Sea Oil-Filled Motors

With the wide application of motors in deep sea exploration, deep-sea require a higher power density and longer lifetime. Motor lifetime mainly depends on thermo-mechanical stress (TMS) load its stator insulation. Unlike normal motors, are usually filled with oil to compensate for high pressure generated by seawater, which leads additional viscous drag loss. This, combined pressure, will greatly change TMS distribution further influence motor insulation Thus, degradation analysis oil-filled (DSOF) due has become important. This paper presents analytical model DSOF insulation, considering joint effects temperature. The CFD method is adopted perform thermal analysis, temperature FEA verify accuracy. Rainflow counting Miner fatigue evaluate Results show that compared working environments, can be reduced up 59.5% increased 16.02%. Therefore, this research provide references design.
